Samsung is breaking its tradition by pushing the launch of its flagship Galaxy S8 device to March. MWC, the event that hosted all the flagship launches of Samsung Galaxy S series, will this year be missing out on the much anticipated launch. But that doesn’t mean Samsung will be showing up with empty hands for the events.
The company has now teased what it will be featuring at the annual mobile gala, and it appears like Samsung is having a much bigger device for the event; the Galaxy S3 Tab. The teaser image that announces the press conference of the company on February 26th is accompanied by a silhouette image of what appears to be the top portion of a tablet.
Interestingly, Samsung’s Galaxy S3 Tab was spotted listed in FCC, giving birth to speculation that the teased image is that of the Galaxy S3 Tab. According to reports, the new tablet device from the house Samsung will feature a 9.6-inch display with 2048×1536 pixel resolution.
Inside the device will be a Snapdragon 820 SoC that will be paired with a RAM of 4GB. A 12 MP camera is likely to get packed on the rear, while the front side will be fitted with a 0.5MP camera.
The Galaxy S3 Tab will be the successor to Galaxy S2 Tab, which was launched in South Korea during 2015. Samsung will likely also carry forward its design traits from the predecessor that featured a slim design profile. More can be heard this month, as Samsung will be detailing the device during its press conference at MWC on 26th February at 7 PM CET.
