Google has already unleashed its AR and VR prowess through Tango and Daydream respectively. However, the two technologies have been rolling out in distinct packets, but only until now.

The latest revelation has now put the ZenFone AR device from Asus under the spotlight, and it will be the first device to house both Tango and Daydream together in a device. A new image of the device has also now emerged ahead of its official reveal scheduled for CES 2017, thanks to the accidental reveal by chipset manufacturer Qualcomm.

The image showcases the beefy camera setup the device will be packing on its rear side. The camera setup will include the camera sensors along with the infrared sensors to capture the depth of the objects in images with Tango. Asus ZenFone AR will be the second device to facilitate Google’s Project Tango, which made its debut earlier in Lenovo’s Phab 2 Pro device.

Besides AR capabilities, ZenFone AR will also be equipped with Google Daydream, making it the first device to house Google’s AR and VR platforms together. It needs to be seen how well ZenFone AR will be making use of this salient trait.

The AR and VR standards in the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s current flagship SoC, the Snapgdragon 821 SoC. The chipset earlier made its debut in Asus’ ZenFone 3 Deluxe. Further specifications of the device are yet to be known. But there won’t be a big wait, as ZenFone 3 will officially be revealed at CES 2017, which will be taking place at Las Vegas this week.
