Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Spotted Online with Improved Specs

It has now become a common trend among smartphone vendors to bring out powerful versions of their hot-selling smartphone with a small suffix. Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has done it earlier with its flagship Mi5 device, and it now appears that the company is up for it again, but this time, it’s with one of its mid-range smartphone.

Redmi Note 4, the ‘affordable flagship’ of Xiaomi has now been spotted online with bettered specs, and its reportedly being called Redmi Note 4X. The new version was recently certified by TENAA, which has also listed the new device on its website.


Accordingly, Xiaomi’s powerful version of the Redmi Note 4 will introduce 4GB RAM for the first time to its range of mid-range smartphones. According to the listing, Redmi Note 4 is said to be coming out in three versions. Along with the 2GB and 3GB versions which respectively packs 16 GB and 32 GB storage, the Redmi Note 4X will also have a new variant that will feature a bigger storage of 64 GB along with 4 GB RAM.

The higher-end version is also expected to pack more power by housing the Snapdragon 653 chipset from Qualcomm. The other versions will continue to feature the Helio X20 processor from MediaTek. Apart from this, the specifications of the Redmi Note 4X will remain unchanged, and the device will feature a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution.

The rear side, which also houses the finger-print sensor, will be bearing a 13 MP camera, and it will be accompanied by a 5 MP shooter on the front side. The device will be running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Xiaomi’s custom MIUI interface layered over it.

Pricing of the device is yet to be known, and it can be expected to be out with its official launch that is likely to take place during the early weeks of January.
