Trademark Paperwork Implies that Samsung Galaxy S8 Could Turn into a ‘Beast’

We have already spoken of how far Samsung could go in terms of specification for the upcoming Galaxy S8. Samsung is said to be molding its upcoming flagship into a powerhouse by maxing out the specifications, and it now appears that the company is not done with that alone.

As per the newly leaked trademark paperwork, Samsung will be introducing a new mode into the Galaxy S8, and it’s called ‘Beast Mode’. With the way it sounds, it should be Samsung’s new performance mode that would unlock the sheer power prowess of the hardware it backs. Presumably, this should also be the mode which battery-savvy minds should be least touching.

Most of the smartphones in the market today are packed with options that let users balance the burden over its hardware. A lot in the batch prefers to simply list them as balanced and for power, but there are a few who prefers to baptize them with custom names. Samsung’s new Beast Mode could be one that falls in the latter, but it does pack all the hardware required to be a performance beast.

The Galaxy S8 is said to be arriving with the Snapdragon 835 SoC, and will also feature 6GB RAM for the first time in a Samsung flagship, with certain reports also suggesting the inclusion of 8GB RAM in the smartphone. Apart from that, there have been various reports that point for a big revamp in terms of its remaining hardware depots like camera, display and battery.

The device was also earlier said to be arriving with an in-house personal assistant. But new reports are ruling down the possibility citing a previous patent agreement between Google and Samsung that prohibits Samsung from introducing a new AI assistant in the upcoming flagship. We will have to wait to see if Samsung manages to tackle it down.
