LG Returns with Its Affordable Stylus Series Smartphone

LG broke the pattern of coupling Stylus with ‘Note’ branded devices earlier with the launch of their Stylus series smartphones. The affordable series was launched with an aim of utilizing the digital pen capabilities with a decently packed performance. Now, after having launched two devices under the series, the South Korean company is up with the third smartphone from the Stylus series.

Like expected, the new Stylus 3 smartphone comes better powered than the previous editions with a pumped up RAM of 3GB. LG has also replaced the Qualcomm chipset with a Mediatek’s MT6750 SoC with octa-core CPU. However, LG hasn’t opted to tweak any of its remaining specs.

Similar to its predecessor, the Stylus 3 device packs a 5.7-inch screen that still clumsily packs a 720p display inside. The rear cam is of 13MP, while the front camera features an 8MP sensor. There’s betterment in the battery however, as the Stylus 3 device comes with a slightly better capacity of 3200mAh.

The other additions with the Stylus 3 smartphone is the new fingerprint sensor that comes placed in the read side of the device, beneath the camera. Alongside, it also gets an update in terms of the software depot. Stylus 3 will come loaded with the Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

Along with the announcement of Stylus 3, LG has also revealed its new K series lineup that will introduce four new smartphones; K3, K4, K8 and K10. The former two will be the entry-level devices from LG, while the K8 and K10 devices will be the mid-range smartphones that will be powered respectively by Snapdragon 425 SoC and Mediatek’s MT6750 SoC.

LG will be showcasing all its new smartphones in the upcoming tech expo CES 2017.
