Bezel-less Screen to Remote Wireless Charging; Apple’s Ground Breaking Technologies for iPhone 8

There’s still a long way off before Apple debuts its iPhone device for 2017, but that hasn’t throttled the rumors from surging up. The decade-marking device from the Cupertino-based company is already said to be featuring some path-breaking technologies, and the recent reports are suggesting that there’s even more to add to that list.

It was already said that Apple would finally ditch the bezels for its upcoming iPhone device; a concept we have seen in the recently launched Mi Mix. Now, MacRumors has thrown more light over the matter by revealing that the display will also have its dimensions upped due to the curved display Apple is adopting.

Both the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus devices are now said to be featuring curved displays that will get rid of bezels considerably from the front face of the smartphones. With this, the smaller flagship device will have a slight increase in screen-size from 4.7 inches to 5 inches, and it will be followed by the bigger device with a size increase from 5.5-inches to 5.8 inches. But that doesn’t mean Apple is having its device beefed up.

The change in the screen size attributes only for the curvatures that will be brought with the curved display. As long as the overall dimensions are considered, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will stay close to its predecessor device, and won’t be having a noticeable addition. It needs to be seen whether Apple will be having the home button embedded beneath the screen, which would be a huge breakthrough if made possible.

Apart from that, Apple is also adding another revolutionary feature to its new iPhone, which is remote wireless charging. The upcoming iPhone is now said to feature wireless charging technology that can juice up the device sans any contact with a charging base/dock.

The technology will have a module introduced to the device, which can communicate with a transmitter connected to wall-outlets and get the device juiced up in the most convenient wireless charging technology we have seen until now. The technology is rumored to be developed by Apple in association with Energous, who has previously confirmed their association with a tier 1 manufacturer from smartphone industry.
