October 8, 2016, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Every time a Polar product comes out, it just tends to get better in terms of the predecessor. That’s exactly the case with the new M200 GPS running watch for beginners, which packs together some of the distinct features of a couple of predecessor with a catchy price-tag.

The new Polar M200 is what we can call the perfect tracking device available for the beginners among runners. It has got an optical heart rate sensor at its heart, and when it comes from a company that has been in the scene for nearly three decades, it definitely sounds to be promising. The previous M600’s heart rate monitoring was at top class, and we expect nothing less with the M200.

Along with it comes the GPS tracking feature, which will let users track a host of data like steps, calories, sleep time and sleep quality. For beginners, it should sound as the perfect deal for $149, as the closest device we can come through with all these features is the Garmin Forerunner 35, which at costs $50 more.

Just in case you want more for $150, the M200 also comes with the standard smartphone integration features like call and text alerts, incoming text display, and also social media integration. The waterproof device also packs a battery which is expected to power up the device for around six hours to the least.

The Finnish Company will make the new M200 available in the markets at some point later this year. The standard colour variants available are the Charcoal Black and Bright Red editions. But users can get also have Mellow Yellow, White, and Fresh Blue color variants in the form of interchangeable straps, priced at $20 each.
