Yahoo is trying to clutch its mobile venturing with new revamps. As a result, the company has decided to revive its core mobile app by bringing a facelift to the app in both how it looks and what it offers.

From now on, users will no more be able to access the Yahoo app, but instead it will be the new Yahoo Newsroom app. Like earlier, Yahoo’s core focus is on bringing news to the users, but it will be presented in a much refined fashion with the new app.

Yahoo Newsroom, according to the company detailing, follows more of a news feed system that appears in other social media like Facebook and Reddit. Users can interact with the news that appear, and based on this interaction Yahoo will get the feeds personalized for the user constantly.

The explore category on the app is where users get to find new posts and news. The more the user explore, the more its feed becomes tailored to your tastes.  The main highlight of the new upgrade is that the app no longer only brings Yahoo-owned content. But instead, it also lets users’ posts their own content as news source under the Vibe category.

The intention is to make the users more engaged with the app, letting them post and add comments to Vibes. By encouraging users to interact more, Yahoo is also making the move to let users express freely without having any social pressure like in the rest of the similar platforms.

Yahoo Newsroom is currently available for both Android and iOS.
