Artificial intelligence is no small deal; it’s now bringing together five of the world tech behemoths. A new non-profit organization is now being formed to formulate measures that will speed up the growth of AI, and the entities include Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft and IBM. Google’s alliance also means that the coalition will involve its subsidiary group, DeepMind.

The association, called Partnership on AI, will be working together to form numerous AI research group and academics for the betterment of AI in the modern-day technological world. This also involves promoting the awareness of AI among people.

Modern technological world has been leaning more towards the AI technology, with many seeing it as a threat to human labor. However, the coalition will focus on promoting the ups of AI, which mainly deals with automation of daily activities, including autonomous driving.

Apart from this, the organization will also be putting eyes on the biggest players of the industry to make sure that the best AI technologies are put forward. They will also be guided to receive input from broader sections that include philosophers and ethicists so as to step down the AI into more complex situations like health and transportation.

Partnership on AI will be co-chaired by Microsoft Research chief Eric Horvitz and Mustafa Suleyman, the co-founder of DeepMind. The alliance is also carrying out talks with the rest of the tech leaders, which includes Apple. As of now, Apple is staying off from the organization and has not decided to put its name in.
