Apple Likely to Launch Three iPad Models by 2017

Apple’s iPad Pro series will be having a big expansion next year according to new reports. A set of three new iPad Pro devices will be launched next year it seems, and it will feature sizes ranging from 9.7-inches to 12.9-inches.

The tip comes from noted analyst Ming-Chi Kui, who says that Apple will introduce a new 10.5-inch tablet along with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 and the low cost iPad Pro version that comes with 9.7-inch screen size.

It’s also believed that the 10.5 and 12.9 inch versions will be coming out with the A10X processor, while the lower end version will be housing a less powerful A9X processor. Both the processors will be supplied by TSMC.

Additionally, there has also been a big revelation made out by Kuo that points to the OLED display panel adoption in iPad. Apple will have its revolutionary iPad model launched in 2018, and it will feature some big design changes along with the adoption of flexible AMOLED panel.

There is no mention about whether Apple will discontinue its currently available iPad Pro that measures 7.9-inch in size. But that seems inevitable, as the low sized iPad Pro has already witnessed a dip in its sales with the advent of the bigger sized iPhone devices.

This is expected to continue despite the arrival of Apple’s three updated models in 2017, as Kuo predicts that the company shipment will continue to decline as a part of this general trend in the tablet market.

Apple haven’t yet responded to the new reports.
