After having appeared in numerous leaks over the past weeks, the Meizu MX 6 has now finally made its official public appearance. Chinese manufacturer Meizu has unveiled the device at an event that was held on Tuesday at Beijing.

With a metallic design and a deca-core processor, the Meizu MX6 closely resembles the Meizu Pro 6 that was unveiled three months back, but at a more affordable range. Meizu MX6 is announced at $300, which is $90 less than the cheapest version of Pro 6.

However Meizu MX6 will feature a slightly slower MediaTek Helio X20 processor that will come clocked at 2.3GHz. It still packs a hefty RAM of 4GB, and will offer 32GB internal storage inside. The 12MP camera on the rear will be accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash, and the front side will be having a 5MP camera. The 5.5-inch display will house 1080p resolution.

The device will be powered by Android 6.0, with Meizu’s Flyme 5.2 UI on top of it. Meizu MX6 will also have other features like 24w fast charging for the 3060mAh battery, dual SIM slots, USB Type C port, and fingerprint sensor.

Alongside, Meizu has also announced a new flip case for MX6, Pro 6, and Note 3. Called Loop Jacket, the $15 flip case also comes with a circular viewfinder on its rear side, similar to LG’s quick Circle case. Users will have access to notifications via this, and can also answer calls without lighting up the display. A LifeMe Bluetooth speaker was also announced that will be going on sale for $60.

Meizu MX6 and the newly announced accessories will be up for grabs on July 30th in China, and is expected to get expanded to other regions in the coming months.
