HTC 10 to Get an Online Launch Next Month

March 24, 2016, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We have witnessed a plethora of grandeur smartphone launches during the recent days, with the latest being the compact iPhone unveiling by Apple. But Taiwanese manufacturer HTC has decided not to follow their counterparts’ strategies when it comes to launching their flagship.

HTC has officially announced the launch date of its much hyped HTC 10 flagship smartphone. But unlike the rest, HTC’s flagship will get introduced not through any event; instead will be presented to the reach of the entire world via online broadcast.

A live stream of their HTC 10 launch will be aired during April 12 from 8 a.m. ET. The launch will take place at New York, and will have nothing more than a HTC representative taking us through a detailed debut tour of their flagship device. Users can visit at the prescribed timings to watch the online launch from anywhere in the world.

It’s also not the first time that HTC has planned to introduce their smartphones through an online-exclusive launch. They adopted the same measure for the unveiling of the HTC One A9 smartphone last year.

Despite having lesser input for the launch, HTC has been keenly involved in boiling up the enthusiasm with pre-launch campaigns. The latest says they admit that they are obsessed (with the upcoming smartphone).

The flagship device is expected to feature Snapdragon 820 SoC that will be paired with 4GB of RAM. The dual-camera setup is also expected to make the return in HTC 10. Front facing speakers, one of the common traits of HTC flagship, will be shunned this year. Although, it will be the same Boomsound that will power up the re-positioned speakers.

Previous render images have also revealed the exterior look of the device. Accordingly, HTC 10 will retain the all-metallic unibody design with chamfered metallic edges.
