Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 Edition ‘Official’ Images Appear Online

A 2016 edition of Samsung’s mid-tier smartphone, the Galaxy J7, is now very much getting official. The new revelation comes via a press render of the new Galaxy J7 provided by, and it comes right after the few close-up image obtained through Chinese certification TEENA.

The new render now takes us closer to the looks of the device from multiple angles. Apparently, there is nothing much that draws the line from its predecessor. The sizes remain the same as Galaxy J7 will house a 5.5-inch display.

Although, the sides of the device now gets the metallic frame embodiment, which is a good jump from the plastic frame we saw in the previous version.


As for the specs, the Galaxy J7 2016 model will feature a 720p AMOLED display. Under this will be an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, or the Exynos 7870 SoC.

The latter appears to be more secure for Samsung as the previous version did feature the same Snapdragon 615 chipset. The reports also points out for two possibilities RAM, with some suggesting for a doubling with 3GB RAM, while others pointing out a more possible 2GB RAM in the new Galaxy.

The battery is also expected to get a minor boost as Galaxy J7 2016 is reported to be arriving with a 3300mAh battery. It was only 3000mAh in the previous version. The camera combo will remain the same, with a 13MP front-cam, 5MP rear-cam combo.


It will also be coming out with Android 6 Marshmallow OS loaded inside. The current renders also points out that the device showcased is the Chinese variant of Samsung Galaxy J7, which reiterates the previous voices that the Galaxy J7 2016 would get its initial launch in China. No word as of yet about the global version.
