Wondering what HTC is baking for Mobile World Congress? Everyone’s making their minds work hard to guess what HTC is going to toss up when the annual mobile gala commences at Barcelona this February.

But unfortunately, it appears that the Taiwanese manufacturer won’t be having a big outing like its South Korean counterparts, Samsung and LG. That sums up why we aren’t able to find out anything about the HTC One M10 flagship device even with the Samsung rumors were at their peak.

While all major players seem busy prepping their flagships for MWC, HTC appears to be taking a different route; a route opted by Xiaomi with its flagship Mi5.

But unlike the Chinese manufacturer, who will be having its flagship launch just before MWC, HTC has decided to give its flagship a post-MWC launch. HTC probably wants all those MWC smartphone news to settle before it steps in.

The latest revelation comes from tipster @LlabTooFeR, who has got a good track record with HTC rumors in the past. According to the revelation, HTC One M10, which is codenamed Perfume, will be arriving during the second half of March in a dedicated event.

It’s also pointed out that the device would run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow at the time of launch, which will be layered with the HTC Sense 8.0 UI.

HTC is also likely to follow the footsteps of its rivals by launching two versions of M10. This won’t be a compact/bulky variant of the flagship, but would only feature a processor variation.

Accordingly, HTC will be having a Snapdragon 820-driven One M10 for US and European markets, while the Chinese and South Asian markets will be welcoming the MediaTek variant. This looks similar to the plans of Samsung to have Exynos and Qualcom SoCs used for distinct markets in its Galaxy S7 flagship.

As with other specifications, the HTC One M10 will retain the modern flagship features in it, with the inclusion of fingerprint scanner more than likely in it.  A 23 MP camera is being tipped to be mounted on its rear, and the device will feature a 3000mAh battery with dust and water resistant features packed alongside.
