Lenovo’s Latest Vibe Comes with Front LED Flash

A selfie-dedicated smartphone doesn’t come quite often; but it’s something inevitable. This very fact is what has been underlined with the arrival of the new Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite.

The sibling to the flagship device from Lenovo carries the tag of Lite along with it, but doesn’t cut down on the weight like it sounds. The display featured in it is the same 5-inch Full HD display that is illuminated with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

Vibe-S1-liteThe rear cam is of 13MP and packs dual-LED flash along with it, but it’s the front cam with which Lenovo have made the tweak.

The dual-sensor technology from S1 has been taken out, but it would be fair to say that it’s only for good reason. A single 8 MP sensor finds the front spot of Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite, and is accompanied by an LED flash to light up your dark-room selfies.

This is accompanied by other features like zero distortion Sony sensors, panoramic selfies, etc.

Inside, Vibe S1 Lite packs a 64-bit MediaTek octa-core processor that is clocked at 1.3GHz. This gets coupled with a RAM of 2GB and a ROM of 16GB.

It can be expanded to up to 32GB via microSD. The Lite version also gets a boost with the battery, which now holds a greater capacity of 2,700mAh.

There aren’t much smartphones available with the increasingly popular trait of front flash, and Lenovo seems to have done the right job by adding the feature to a budget smartphone.

With a price of $199, Vibe S1 Lite could bring a heavy challenge on some of the selfie-dedicated smartphones as well as non-selfie budget smartphones.
