Pebble Finally Musters Health App for Time Range of Smartwatches

Pebble boasts the success of being the most funded project on Kickstarter back during its campaign. That essentially shows how people had fallen for the then offbeat smartwatch.

But ever since the entry of multiple vendors including big players like Apple, Pebble has evolved from its traditional concept to offer features on par with its rivals.

The process is now getting continued with the introduction of a new smartwatch app.

Pebble Health, as it is called, comes along with the latest version 3.8 firmware release from the manufacturers, which is also a requirement to have the app functioning. It has been developed with support from researchers from Stanford University onboard.

The app has been designed to track all basic activities performed when you have the Pebble Watch around your wrist, including the activities during the day and the sleep patterns during nights. Weekly results will also be projected graphically so that you can have a firm assessment of your activities.

Besides, it also offers a bit of personal assistance by suggesting free times for you to perform your health activities. That’s done by integrating with the Timeline feature present on Pebble Time smartwatches.

You can also have the data shared with third-party health apps, including Apple Health Kit and Google Fit. The manufacturer explains that the app is currently compatible with all its Pebble Time smartwatches, namely the Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel and Pebble Time Round smart watches.

Besides the new app introduction, Pebble has also managed to bring some worthy upgrades, which includes the timeline integration in Pebble Classic and Steel, a universal search option to access everything right from the home screen, and other minor updates and patches.
