Oukitel K10000 Smartphone is the New Battery Beast

December 16, 2015, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

It seems like the tussle between smartphones and battery life is never-ending. Apple is trying to ease it out with charging cases, while other vendors that are coupled with Android are sticking with quick-charging features.

And in midst of all that arrives Outikel, a Chinese manufacturer, with the best possible solution that could fix all those battery concerns.

It’s not an off-the-wall concept they have introduced. They have, in fact, gone right for the preferred solution of inducing some extra charge into the battery – something that can keep the device running for over 10 days. Yes, you heard it right!

Oukitel’s K10000 is the smartphone that’s being discussed here, and the number in its name stands for the capacity its battery offers. The Android device from Oukitel doesn’t feature any jaw-dropping spec inside, but what will astonish you is the humungous battery life, which they claim can run for around 10 to 15 days under normal days.

Forget the normal usage; with 10000mAh at its disposal, it sure can yield unbelievable life even with heavy usage. It’s like having a power bank coupled with your device permanently, and that makes us believe that this one can work as a power bank too.

Manufacturers of this power beast reveal that the smartphone can be used to juice your other devices too. But even that won’t take much harm to the battery life of K10000, as even charging an iPhone device three times from Oukitel leaves the smartphone with 10% charge.

On the hardware front, Oukitel doesn’t appear to be exactly rivalling a flagship device. There’s 2GB RAM available onboard, but that one is paired to only a quad core Mediatek processor that is clocked at 1GHz. The 5.5-inch display is powered by a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, and the camera stands at 2MP and 8MP on front and rear respectively.

With that said, it can be summed up that Oukitel hasn’t outed a flagship device, but instead, a decent powered mid-range smartphone. But that could never be the concern, as what we all look forward with this is the battery life.

Oukitel K10000 is now up for pre-order for US on website GearBest at $240. Pre-orders must be placed before January 2, as the shipping is expected to get flagged off on January 21.
