If there’s a Samsung device that has been long-rumoured like the flagship Galaxy S series devices, then it got to be Galaxy A9.

After doing the rounds in the form of rumors back in March, the device has gone on to make a plethora of appearances across the web in the form of leaks and speculations. Nothing was confirmed by Samsung, until now.

The official nod has now arrived on Samsung’s Iranian website, which has now listed the device with a fairly detailed info about its spec-sheet.

The space for the latest entry also has got an image, which however is of a Galaxy A8, probably to fill the gap for the time-being.

With a 5.5-inch screen size, the Galaxy A9 will feature a Full HD display of 1920×1080 resolution. The rear-cam will feature a 16MP sensor with which users will be able to capture Full HD videos. On front, it’s a 5MP sensor that takes up the camera space.

Inside, the Galaxy A9 will house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset, which comes with quad-core Cortex-A72 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, and quad-core Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz.

The chipset is paired with 3GB RAM, and packs the Adreno 510 GPU. The storage will support up to 32GB, which can be expanded up to 128GB using micro SD slot.

The dual-SIM phone will have LTE connectivity alongside other connectivity options like GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi and Micro USB 2.0. It will run the Android Lollipop OS version 5.1.1 out of the box.

The website also hints that the device will be launched on December 1, by when we could have the real looks of Galaxy A9. It will be coming out in the normal shades of black, and white, along with a new golden color version.
