Apple Seems to be Going Back to a 4-inch iPhone

Not everything is getting bigger at Apple – some are getting shrunk too. If reports are to be believed, we may be able to see the re-entry of a 4-inch sized display in their flagship iPhone device next year.

The word comes from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. According to him, the new smaller iPhone could come in even before the supposed Apple iPhone 7 arrives in the market.

And, that’s not it; he has also revealed that the device would pack Apple’s A9 processor; the very own chip that was included in its iPhone 6 and 6S devices.

Besides, it will also opt for a better metallic finish than going backwards with a plastic build.

Do all these mean that the smaller device isn’t small except for its display? Perhaps yes, but still, it won’t be arriving with Apple’s latest features like 3D Touch.

Even if that is the case, Kuo believes that the new device could hike sales by around 20 to 30 million for iPhones.

The recent Apple move for going big with their display was apparently the very reflection of the growing trend and appetite.

But that was never what Apple intended. Even with the smartphone world embracing bigger phones like hot dogs, Apple kept reluctant to unveiling a biggie until their iPhone 6 Plus device.

Since the birth of Tim Cook era, Apple has been applying the big-screen formula to many of their device line-ups. That also includes the iPad Pro, which was once believed to not go beyond 9-inch when Steve Jobs was in charge.

But if the recent speculation turns true, then we can see that Apple hasn’t dropped its love for keeping their devices small after all.
