Facebook Notify Standalone App for Breaking News Soon

Facebook’s apparent intimacy with the news corner is getting even more devoted. After their wider release of Instant Articles, reports are now suggesting that they are bringing in another service to update users with news.

The difference this time is that it will come in the form of a separate app. While Instant Articles came in the Facebook-integrated form, its new app, called Notify, will come as a stand-alone space dedicated for news articles from all around.

The way it’s getting shaped up, we pretty much feel that this could be the mere app version of Instant Articles itself. Initial reports suggest that Facebook is reaching out to its initial partners for bringing up live content on Notify.

It indeed sounds like a good move; Instant Articles was in all ways a better way to get aggregated content on the social media platform, rivalling those from Twitter and Apple. And a dedicated space means they are also narrowing down the rival circle.

The one from Twitter still has got its roots attached to its social platform. But if Facebook can completely offer the freshness, it can sure expect a success journey with its new interest on news articles.

As it sounds, Notify will also provide live alerts and notifications for content posted by leading providers like Vogue, The Washington Post, Comedy Central, Billboard, and CBS, covering all sorts of media. Although being a standalone app, Facebook will possibly have an integration option for Notify to have its contents shared directly to Facebook.

We can get the confirmation for these services within a week, as reports suggest that the app will be launched in a while.
