One Plus Latest Smartphone Offering Surfaces on FCC Listing

A month ago, we heard rumours of a new One Plus device catching the headlines. Nothing was revealed back then, except that the device will be arriving this December.

But thanks to the Federal Communications Commission listing, we now have our first glimpse of the device, along with a few specs.

The one now being spotted in the FCC listing is codenamed One E1005, and it appears like One Plus is having a turn with its design norms.

The square edges its successors had are now getting replaced by round edges. This comes along with the absence of the curved back side, with One Plus opting for a flat design this time with their new device. The flat approach has also now made the device to appear a bit beefed up than the previous slim smartphones.

The image shows dual speakers mounted on the bottom, with the USB slot on its center. If you skip that part, you will know that E1005 holds a strong bond with the appearances of previous iPhones from Apple by its looks.

Another info revealed is that the device will be packing a 5.5-inch display, same as that of One Plus One and One Plus Two. Hopefully, we can expect that to be packing QHD resolution.

It will also pack a 1.9 GHz processor, which we believe will be an octa-core one. We can expect more of it to get revealed as One Plus is having an event today in India.

That said, we believe One Plus is stepping back from its intention of western outspread, at least with its new device. Although being well received within the budget flagship segment, One Plus Two still gets omitted from the list of frontrunners that has Apple, Samsung and Nexus devices.

They did manage to come out successful at fetching their name to the west. But for the moment, the move to further bolster its current key markets definitely seems wiser.
