Android M and Nexus Devices Likely to Debut This Month

September 8, 2015, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We all know what the next Android is named, and in which model it will make its debut. But what was unknown to us was when the pair will be making its much anticipated debut. And if reports are to be believed, the wait is only a short one.

The news from the tech-world is that Google is likely to hold an event at San Francisco on September 29th, during which they are expected to unveil the next Nexus range of devices, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The revelation of the new name was made by Google only a couple of weeks ago, and it appears more likely that the upcoming event will indeed be reserved for their next big OS and smartphone.

It will also be the first time that Google will have two makers tallying with them for the production of two Nexus devices, the same year. The smaller version with smaller display is being manufactured by LG, with whom they have paired up previously for Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 devices.

On the other side, the bigger flagship will be brought about by Huawei, with which they are joining hands for the first time for a Nexus device.

Apart from Google, the move will be more decisive for Huawei, who have been trying to stir their name among the western markets. Even after having solid devices being flushed out to the markets, Huawei is still a name that’s unheard by many in the US and Europe markets.

With the Nexus branding allotted to the Chinese manufacturers, they will be more than keen to make sure that they make the most from this new tie-up.
