Samsung Readying Next Big Tab, and It’s Really Big

August 24, 2015, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Are tech-buffs finding it tedious playing with the current-gen tablet size? Samsung seems to have bigger plans in their mind.

It’s not getting big like it was with their flagship smartphones, but the next from them is really big, and will be shattering screen-size records in the world of tablets.

The Korean company is now reportedly making an 18.4-inch tablet, which when comes out will be their biggest tablet aimed at a broader section.

However, the display resolution is not to get amplified. As it appears, the new tablet, which is codenamed Tahoe, will be featuring only Full HD display and not the QHD resolutions.

The device will be housing an octa-core 64-bit 1.6GHz Exynos 7580 processor, which will get paired with a RAM of 2GB.

The device will offer an inbuilt storage of 32GB, with a micro SD slot provided that will let you expand the storage up to 32GB.

The camera department will feature a duo of 8MP primary cam and 2MP secondary cam. They have beefed up the battery to 5,700 mAh, and it needs to be seen whether it will be juicing the 18-inch tablet well enough.

Even with a bigger display, Samsung’s new tablet might not get placed among the upper segment of their tablet range.

The spec-sheet appears to be only moderately powerful, and the intent will be to target home living rooms, offices, and schools. So we can expect Samsung to keep a check on the price tag.

There isn’t yet any official word from the Korean manufacturer regarding this new tablet, and neither do the reports suggest a supposed release date.

But the desire is explicit; Samsung won’t be putting this new experiment under the box, and will definitely see the light soon.
