WhatsApp Web Finally Ropes in iOS Devices Too

It might have been a long wait, but it’s finally here. We are speaking of the web version of WhatsApp for iOS devices.

Finally, iOS users can now have their WhatsApp chats and data synced with the web browser version without any hassle.

The web client for WhatsApp users was introduced earlier this year, during January, and allowed WhatsApp users to chat and get contact details into the web browser, letting them chat from the web browsers instead of smartphones.

The service required an active data connection both on PC, as well as smartphone device, and required an initial setup by means of QR scanning.

However, the WhatsApp web client was introduced only for Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry devices, with iOS devices getting kicked out of the list due to platform limitations setup by Apple.

Although the word during the launch was that WhatsApp Web will cross the hurdles quickly, and that it will be made available for iOS devices soon.

Since then, newer platforms like Nokia S40 and S60 got added to the list, and newer features like voice calling were also introduced. Yet, WhatsApp failed to confirm when exactly the web client would be made available for iOS users. Now that they are finally off those worries, newer updates can soon be expected for both Android as well as iOS devices.

The web client for iOS devices will feature a similar setup like those for Android devices, demanding a QR scan with your iOS devices from PC. And yes, your iPhones or iPads will have to be connected to internet if to carry on your chats through the web.
