HTC used to be one of the quartets of Android smartphone vendors in the Indian market. But over the years, the Taiwanese company has been losing ground since the advent of countless local and Chinese players.

The global perspectives of HTC have already shed off their customary approach to keep the numbers limited to specific segments.

Products that were cast from those perspectives were yet to arrive in India. But the new word is that they will have a premium smartphone soon touching down the Indian mainland.

HTC E9+ is the device that gets embarked on a journey to India. The device is a premium phablet and will be arriving with a price-tag of INR 36,790.

The smartphone arrives with a display of 5.5-inch screen size and ushers a 2K display resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The Mediatek MT6795 chipset brings out a processor-GPU combination of 2GHZ octa-core with PowerVR G6200. A 3GB RAM is coupled along with it, while the storage is of 32GB.

The camera used in HTC One E9 is a 20 MP sensor, which even boasts 4K video capturing capability; something to keep the recent camera downgrades off the tab.

The front cam features an 8MP ultrapixel sensor, which they claim to enhance the lighting by triple fold. The Boom Sound front facing speakers are made with the Dolby Audio Surround technology.

The dual-SIM device is powered by a 2800 mAh Li-Po battery, which is claimed to yield a talk time-duration of 14 hours on 3G band.

Three shades of the device have been presented of which all will be made available once they arrive in the markets. Those are namely Meteor Gray, Classic Rose Gold and Gold Sepia.
