Tamil movie ‘Uttama Villain’ review and box-office collections report

Kamal Haasan, the Ulaganayagan of Indian Cinema is back with his latest Tamil release, ‘Uttama Villain’.

The movie directed by Ramesh Aravind hit the screens on May 01, 2015, and the film is marking a record opening in the Kollywood Box Office.

The movie was released in more than 175 screens all across Tamil Nadu. As per earlier reports, all the tickets of the movie have been sold out, and by the end of this weekend, the film will get an overall Box Office Collection of more than 12 Crore INR.


The film is expected to get huge collections in theaters in Kerala, Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka. In Kerala, the film is releasing in more than 75 screens.

The film created some furor upon the release as the morning show was cancelled due to the problems between Eros International and the producers Thirrupathi Brothers.

As the initial show in Dubai is already over, positive reviews of the film has started fluttering all over the internet.

People who have watched the movie are reportedly satisfied with the performance of Kamal Haasan, and this will surely help the film to gain massive Box Office Collections when it hits the screens in South India.

Kamal Haasan has huge fan following in the state, and this will help the theater owners to fetch a revenue of somewhere in between 1.5 – 2 Crore INR at the end of the weekend.

The movie showcases Kamal Haasan in two different avatars. He will do the role of an eighth century theyyam artist in the movie, and the another role is of a modern day Superstar.

The mesmerizing actor has reportedly portrayed both the roles with finesse, and it will be a sheer treat for his fans. Andrea Jeremiah and Pooja Kumar are doing the role of lady leads in the flick.

Legendary director K Balachander and Malayalam Superstar Jayaram are also doing vital roles in the movie.
