After a disappointing World Cup Campaign, Pakistan Cricket Team is now all set to take on Bangladesh in the first One Day International at Shere Bangla National Stadium, on April 17, 2015.

Both Bangladesh and Pakistan will be trying hard to begin the proceedings with a win, as it will boost their morale while playing the remaining two games in this series.

This is Pakistan’s first crucial encounter after the retirement of big guns like Misbah Ul Haq and Shahid Afridi from One Day Internationals.

Azhar Ali will be leading the Pakistan Side, and the 15 member squad comprises of only five members who have played the last World Cup. Azhar Ali has played 14 One Day Internationals in his career, and the last match he played was on January, 2013.

The match will begin at 02:00 PM IST, and it will be shown live in Star Sports in India. PTV Sports and Ten Sports are telecasting this match in Pakistan, while Gazi TV is doing it in Bangladesh.

Injuries are literally hindering Pakistan’s chances in this One Day International series. Yasir Shah, the versatile leg spinner has been ruled out from the series due to a hand injury. He will be replaced by Zulfiqar Babar, a 36 year old veteran domestic cricketer.

Saeed Ajmal will return to the Pakistan side after a small hiatus through this series. The bowler was under scanner for his suspicious action, but now, he has came out clear without any problems.

On the other hand, Bangladesh team under the leadership of Mashrafe Mortaza is quite satisfied with their World Cup performance, and they will be trying to reprise the same in this series as well.
