HTC Sets the Ball Rolling for One M9 Launch in the US

March 28, 2015, By Daniel Rapcencu

The announcement of the US launch of HTC’s latest flagship smartphone barged in just a few days ago.

And the way it came, we certainly thought it would be off its covers only after Samsung debuts its Galaxy S6 smartphone.

But HTC is getting its skates on, and it probably wants people to catch the flagship prior to the launch of the rival phone.

The new HTC One M9 is now up for pre-orders across various carrier websites, and is expected to flood the markets much before we thought it would.

HTC announced that the unlocked version of its flagship smartphone will be available pre-orders at $649, following which various network providers have joined the line to offer the unlocked smartphone.

Sprint has announced that you could order the device not just through its online stores, but also from its physical stores scattered across the country.

T-Mobile  and AT&T have also come up with the pre-order for the product, however Verizon users would have to push a bit further to go for the pre-order.

HTC One M9 unlocked will be made available for online on Verizon only by the 1st of April.

The device will be making its way to the stores by April 10, upon which it would come in direct confrontation with Galaxy S6.

HTC made the debut of their much awaited flagship phone during the first weeks of March at Barcelona.

Packing a 5-inch screen with Full HD display, the device features a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57Q processor that comes with 3GB RAM.

The Ultracam has been dropped for the primary shooter, featuring a 20MP camera this time.

However, HTC is showing the rush only for the users across the US. The global launch of the flagship smartphone will be taking place only during the latter half of this year, as per reports.

Meanwhile, the rival flagship Galaxy S6 will be starting its run across the US by April 10.
