Samsung Finally Brings the Galaxy S6 Models to Indian Shores

Samsung has finally made the much awaited announcement for Indian consumers – on  the launch of Galaxy S6 smartphone. Coming along with the model will be the Galaxy S6 Edge, which iterates the Edge display technology from Note 4 models.

In an event that took place in the national capital, Samsung said the devices, which made its debut in MWC 2015, will be commencing sale on April 10. Users could now pre-book the device, which commenced on Monday.

Those who preorder the device would be handed with some perky pre-order gifts, which include a screen protector.


All the three 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants will have their entry into India.

The 16GB version is priced at INR 49,900, the 64GB version  at INR 55,900 and the 128GB version at INR 61,900. It was also mentioned by the company that the new devices will be manufactured within the country.

If you are looking for a recap on the specs, the S6 model features a 5.1-inch 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution display that packs under it an Exynos 7420 chipset, octa-core powered processing speeds at 2.1GHz and 1.5GHz and also 3GB RAM.

The camera at the rear can snap pictures at 16MP quality while the front is equipped with a 5MP shooter. The device will be powered by a 2550 mAh battery.

The S6 Edge also features a similar spec-sheet, except for the front Edge display which packs a curvy approach.
