Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced its latest smartphone, which will be the flagship model for its phablet series of devices. The new Xiaomi Mi Note is a 64-bit Android smartphone that comes certainly big, on the outside as well as its inside specs.

Xiaomi has announced that its new variant will be coming in two models; Mi Note with the 32 bit processor and Mi Pro with the 64 bit architecture.

While the 32-bit version will be running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2.5GHz quad-core processor, the Pro variant will be featuring the 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset with quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 processors.

Being featured on the 64 bit variant would be the Adreno 430 GPU, while it would be the Adreno 330 GPU that will power up the graphics in the 32 bit variant. The pro version will also have a boost with the memory as it offers 4GB RAM, compared to the 3 GB in Mi Note.

The rest have been kept intact for the two variants. The models will be supporting 64 GB onboard memory, with Mi Note having option also for a 16 GB variant. The 5.7 inch screen will be fitting a full HD Retina display that projects the display at a resolution of 1080×1920, at 387 ppi pixel density.

The camera facet of the smartphone is powered by a 13 MP rear shooter and a 4 MP front shooter.  The dual-SIM phone would be offering a battery backup of 3000 mAh and will also be donning a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected front screen and back panel.

Xiaomi’s USP has always been with its mind-boggling price range and the same is expected be the wow factor for its upcoming flagship phablets. The 64 bit Mi Note Pro variant has been announced for a price of 3299 CNY, which is around $530.

That becomes the highlight when noting that the iPhone 6 Plus, which comes with fairly reduced specs, costs around $820.

With the latter running on a 1.4 GHz A8 processor and 1 GB RAM, the only front in which iPhone 6 Plus excels is with its display, that features a greater pixel density due to its screen size of 5.5 inch.

Though, the performance comparison can only be brought under the lights when the Mi Note makes its final launch to the public.
