January 16, 2015, By Sameer Kumar

The first game in the five match One Day International Series between West Indies and South Africa will begin today at 5:00 PM in Kingsmead, Durban.

Both the teams consider this series as their final chance to tame their skills and line up before the ICC World Cup which is scheduled to begin on February 14, 2015

Darren Brawo Throws his bat

South Africa under the leadership of AB de Villiers is quite strong in both the bowling and batting departments. But the absence of Quinton de Kock is expected to create a small weak hole in their line up.

In his absence, the team will be relying on their Captain to do the role of Wicket Keeper as well. Rilee Rossouw will fill the slot of de Kock as an opener.

The man who is under spot light in the South African team is none other than J P Duminy who is making his comeback in style. Duminy has that extra capability to control the pace of the innings, and he can also bowl some overs if South Africa is looking for some variety.

On the other hand, the West Indies team is quite confident as they triumphed in the T 20 series against South Africa. Chris Gayle, the most explosive batsman in International Cricket is in full swing, and it might turn out to be the worst nightmare for South Africa. Jason Holder who grabbed the position of Bravo in the line up is the man to be closely watched.
