10,000 Micromax Yu Yureka Smartphones Up for Grabs this Tuesday

Micromax is going after the online-exclusive sales measure adopted by Chinese phone manufacturers for the launch of its Yu Yureka smartphone. The first sale of the 64-bit smartphone will be taking place this Tuesday, and a storm of orders are expected to be huge.

But it seems that not everyone will end up being on the lucky side, as Micromax will be bringing their smartphones only in limited piles.

Amazon, exclusive online partner of Micromax, will be putting up only 10,000 units on their sales window when the clock ticks two at noon on Tuesday.

The Cyanogen-based smartphone was first announced last month and registration windows were open soon for users to try out their luck when the sale starts.

The window was also shut down a day earlier, rather than on the stated closing date of December 25th, following the tremendous response it received. Users who have registered prior to that could consider themselves lucky, but not entirely.

Micromax’s Yu Yureka smartphone can be expected to take the online sales by storm, as it was with the sales of Xiaomi smartphones. While Xiaomi Mi3 witnessed over a lakh of registrations for its first-day sales, Micromax have doubled the numbers for its opening sale.

Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Micromax mobiles, has been quoted as saying that around 3 lakh users have made their registrations for the January 13th sale, which forced the manufacturers to close down the registrations a day earlier.

The INR 9000 smartphone features a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC , alongside other impressive specs.

They include the Adreno 405 GPU, 2 GB RAM, 5.5 inch screen with 720p display (with Gorilla Glass III protection), 13-megapixel Sony Exmor CMOS rear-cam, 5 MP front-cam, 16 GB on-board storage with micro SD support, and a 2500 Li-Po battery.

Micromax Yu Yureka will also be offering the 4G LTE support, with dual-SIM connectivity. Are you getting yours?
