Ladies and selfies will never part ways as long as they have a device dedicated to the purpose. Who else would know this better than smartphone vendors?

Micromax, one of India’s largest smartphone manufacturers, has launched a new smartphone to capitalize on the selfie craze.

The new Canvas Selfie is for those who use their front cams more than the rear shooters. Packed with a 13 megapixel camera on its rear, the Canvas Selfie offers the same photo shoot quality on the front as well, with the 13 MP Sony sensor.

Micromax would have been the first to come up with such a feature, had HTC not launched their Desire Eye with 13 MP front and rear shooters.

The device is packed with a 4.7 inch screen with 720p resolution and features a 1.7 GHz MediaTek Tru-Octa-core processor. There’s no shortage of space as Canvas Selfie offers memory of 2GB. Storage is offered by the 16GB on-board memory, which can be expanded to 32 GB with microSD cards.

Running on Android KitKat operating sysyetm, the device is equipped with a 2300 mAh battery, which may fail to match up with the rest. It also offers Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

To add some charm to your selfie portraits, Canvas Selfie also offers photo enhancement features like eye enhancement, face slimming, skin smoothening, etc.

The Canvas Selfie phone was launched by tennis aces Sania Mirza, Ana Ivanovic, Kristina Mladenovic and Daniela Hantuchova alongside Micromax CEO Vineet Taneja. However, there’s no word yet on the price of the smartphone.
