The World is Going 4K; Get Set to Experience Ultra-HD Images in Your Living Room

November 12, 2014, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The world has moved a lot beyond HD TVs. Who doesn’t know that? The television arena has stepped on to the 4K TV terrain already, and what you have in your living room these days is the ultra-high definition stuff offered by these 4K boxes.

When it comes to 4K, the most significant feature a television owner is offered is the quality in images at the cool comforts of his home.

With 4K ultra-high definition TVs delivering 4 times as much picture quality as HD does, the users should be proud of the 3840 X 2160 resolution that comes in as against the 1920 x 1080 resolution offered by HD TVs.

Moreover, the content that flows out of such TV sets have also brought with them features such as the inbuilt HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) decoder that enables you to subscribe to Netflix’s 4K services.  It needs to be noted that the earlier 1080p standard in television are a thing of the past.

The display arena spruces up your living room with 4K TVs now available at stores for reasonable prices. Though it might take a while for 4K to be the broadcast standard, the availability of television sets would bring you an experience you would never want to part with.

What makes 4K TVs a rage? Simply speaking, a comparison between these televisions sets and the older HD TVs would give you the answer. First and foremost is the number of pixels that the 4K TVs bring on to your screen as against what the HD televisions do.

To be precise, a 4K television screen offers a four-fold increase in the amount of pixels that a HD television gives you. To explain it in simpler terms, the 4K TV pixels are akin to what you get to see on the screen at your local cinema hall.

Now imagine watching YouTube or Vimeo footage, sporting events and such on such a screen. Awesome it is, indeed!  This apart, you also get to browse through photographs from your DSLR in higher resolution and much more.

While the whole world is looking forward to seeing 4K to turn a standard, companies of the likes of Panasonic are already in the running to make it a norm.

We hear Panasonic is ready to hit the market place with its new range of 4K Ultra HD TVs. Even awesome is the fact that the company is lining up screen sizes starting from 40 inches to 85 inches.

We need to indeed look forward to Panasonic’s AX902B and AX630B line of televisions now. Aren’t you ready? We already are!
