Pakistan top order batsmen provided the most ideal start which the team demands, and the first wicket stand between Mohammed Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad lasted till the team’s score reached 178.

The victory against Australia in the Test Series has literally boosted the morale of Pakistani team. The bold attitude of Pakistani batsmen on the ground clearly symbolized this fact, and if they go like this, then a big total will not be an unassailable dream.

The second day of the match will be telecasted live in Sky Sports (New Zealand) and Ten Cricket TV channel in countries in Asia stating 11.00 a.m Pakistan time.

PTV Sports will also be telecasting the match for viewers in Pakistan. The live stream is available at the official website of PTV Sports here or HERE.

Mohammed Hafeez was caught and bowled by Anderson four runs short of his century, and this was the only moment of disappointment for Pakistan in day 1.

The New Zealand bowlers got some initial swing in the early moments of the day, but when Pakistan batsmen combated it with style, the bowlers turned as just machines which are delivering balls with no variations.

From the second day, the pitch in Abu Dhabi may favor the spinners, and this will compel New Zealand to give more over to I S Sodhi, the leg break bowler.

One of the rare moments in the first day of first test was during the 73rd over, when Brendon McCullum bowled an over.

The crowds broke with joy during this moment, as they haven’t seen this man bowling much in his career.

After the second days play, the scores are as below:

Pakistan 566/3d
New Zealand 15/0 (7.0 ov)
