Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 Lay Emphasis on Permuting Their Exteriors

November 4, 2014, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

It seems like the customary Samsung smartphone design is now sounding the bells of change. With Note 4 boasting a more metallic build to its exteriors, the newly launched Galaxy A3 and A5 smartphones also lays the focus on the same, to brag premium build quality.

Samsung has performed quite a trick by packing a full metal unibody build alongside making the smartphones even slimmer. While Galaxy A3 measures only 6.9mm in thickness, A5 is even thinner and measures only 6.7mm in thickness.

But the newbies won’t be lining up among the flagship phones from Samsung and falls under the mid-range phone as going with the specs. The bigger A5 packs a 5 inch screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels.

Processing powers are yielded by 1.2 GHz quad core processor, which as of now is unclear of its identity. The device is also powered by 2GB RAM and features a 13MP rear cam.

A3 is the smaller version that packs a 4.5 inch screen offering screen resolution of 960 x 540. RAM is reduced to 1 GB and camera feature lags behind by packing 8 MP rear cam. However, A3 will be powered by the same processor that finds the place in A5 and also offers 16 GB storage space, same as that in the bigger one.

Insight of the specs may only leave users unimpressed when brought in line with the smartphones they have been offering in the past.

However, Samsung prefers to highlight more on its build rather than to by specs and claims to be the thinnest smartphone rolled out of its factories and primarily targets the youth for smoothening their social networking.

China will be the market where Galaxy A3 and A5 will be heading first in this month. But further details including the specs have not been revealed by Samsung until as of now.

The smartphones will be available in 3G and LTE variants and will feature in gold, blue, pink, silver, black and white colors.
