Updated Sky+ App Lets You Hurl Smartphone Images to TV

Sky subscribers can now have their smartphone images tossed on to the larger displays of their TVs without any hassle, thanks to the Sky+ app.

Just head for the app store and you can catch hold of the update for your app so as to have access to this new feature, alongside a plenty more of handy features.

Flipping your images onto the TVs and Sky Box would only be a matter of no sweat for the users. The only requirement it demands is a firm connection between your app and Sky+HD over the Wi-Fi network.


A new camera icon will pop  up on your smartphone app, which upon clicking will let you run your eyes through the images you want to be projected on to the bigger screen. It also comes with the slide show feature so that you can sit back and enjoy your favorite snaps on an enlarged screen.

The Sky+ Homepage also gets the update that lets you ease through the world of entertainment for your favorite shows. Choices are now given to users for browsing through the shows based on new and recommended programs.

It also comes with the Smart Series Link feature that lets users to record the ongoing TV series and the upcoming episodes of the same with just a push of the button.

Sky’s Director of TV products, Luke Bradley-Jones, believes the new feature will be in an enhanced manner for browsing through the programs they wish to watch.

The app has already been a space for letting users gain a control to their Sky+ HD by means of a smartphone and allows users to select Movies on Demand.

The new updated app has been available for users to download on iOS as well as Android and will cost users no extra penny.
