Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro Design Inspired by Watchband; Puts It In the Frontline Among Slim-line Convertibles

Lenovo is streamlining the third wave of its frontline convertible laptop series, the Yoga 3 Pro. And it seems like there is a space for the circle of life even within the smart world era for smart gadgets.

If it was the wearable devices arena that espoused the PC world technologies to find a place among the wearables, now we have the case just being flipped in the case of Yoga 3 Pro.

It’s not for its specs or the processing features, but for its design. The Windows 8.1 laptop is billed as the world’s thinnest convertible laptop and that’s all thanks to its watchband design, sprouting from the wrist watches.

The 360 degree flexible feature embraces four more hinges compared with its predecessor Yoga 2 to make it tally a total of six hinges. The idea was to provide utmost convenience when flipping the screen backwards, but sure that has also aided in revamping the exteriors too.

Yoga 3 Pro indeed stands apart when speaking of slim feature among laptops. Measuring 11.8X9X0.5 in dimensions, Yoga 3 Pro weighs 2.6 lbs/1.19 kg. It’s lighter than the previous versions, but still has to shed further pounds to get in a comparison with the stand-alone tablets.

Moving on to the specs, Yoga 3 Pro is powered by Intel Core M-70 processor and is loaded with 8 GB RAM. But there is the slight cut-down when it comes to the storage font, as it offers only a choice of either 256 GB or 512 GB space, which can be quite inadequate.

Lenovo has taken a bigger leap forward by putting a 13.3 display that boasts QHD+ resolution of 3200×1800 pixels. The pixel density of 276ppi well fits to deliver an uncompromised viewing experience.

Those numbers may not amuse the ones that ogles at small-screens, but let you be reminded that for screens of above 10-inch, this one does count as a topper.

Yoga 3 Pro comes with JBL speakers with a certification of Waves Audio. Nine hours of continuous charge is what you can expect from the battery backup.

Pre-orders for this slim convertible laptop are on and the delivery date is not too far away. Lenovo assures the shipping to commence within a span of three weeks.
