HTC Invite for Oct 8 Event Hints at a Possible Camera-Centric Smartphone

September 11, 2014, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The month of September looks eventful for the tech world, with new launches happening. HTC hasn’t been an exception and the company presented to the world its first 64 bit processing smartphone some time ago.

Now, a new invite from the Taiwan based company hints at more coming our way.

HTC has sent out an invite for its upcoming event scheduled for the 8th of October in New York. Nothing much has been revealed about what they have under wraps. All we get to see is an image of a smartphone with the label “Double Exposure”.

With the geeks looking forward to the announcement of a possible smartwatch or a Google Android based tablet from HTC, the new invite has sure diverted expectations to a new route.

Double Exposure

The Double Exposure tag on the invite sends out hints of a camera specific smartphone from HTC. Recently, innovations have been bought around by them to the camera terrain, and they include the dual camera feature packed in the HTC One M8.

HTC has rewritten the conventional megapixel camera story with their 4 Ultrapixel camera. With that in hand, the upcoming announcement would be something that would boost the camera facet in their mobiles.

If it’s according to what we hear, what we could probably witness would be the release of the HTC Desire 820 across the US.

The smartphone with the Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 features as the first in line from the manufacturers to pack 64-bit processing capabilities. What keeps the geeks excited would be the time gap between the invite and the event.

With around a month remaining for the event to occur, HTC seems to have their roadmap well laid out. What do you feel, folks?
