Asus Shifts Gear with Full HD Transformer Pads; Releasing in September

Asus has managed to maintain the hype on its laptops and smartphones. With the latest Zenphone 5, the company made it very clear they are a force to reckon with.

But when it comes to the tablet category, Asus has been lagging in terms of the specs the slates offer. In a bid to curb such criticism, the company would now be launching its latest tablet called the Asus Transformer Pad TF303.

The Transformer Pad TF303 might be the first among the many lined up from the house of Asus, we guess. The new device offers full HD display and offers 1920×1080 resolution on a 10.inch screen. The Transformer Pad TF303 will be featuring the two new variants: Transformer Pad TF303 CL and the Transformer Pad TF303 K.

With the duo offering full HD display, the one that creates the gap in the series is the processing capability and the inbuilt storage. While the TF303 CL would be offering inbuilt storage of 32 GB, the TF303 K would be offering half that of the higher version.

The processing capability of the TF303 CL with that of Intel Atom Z3745 would by far outclass that of the TF303 K tablet, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro ARM-based processor.

The remaining facets in both of the tablets have been kept intact, and include full HD display and the 2 GB RAM. The Transformer Pad TF303 would also roll out with the latest Android variant out of the box, the KitKat 4.4 version.

The external keyboard that Asus has planned to tag along with the tablet series will sure be a highlight of the TF303 series. The option for an optional keyboard to make it perform like a notebook would though be costing an extra $50 for both the versions.

With the expected release date of the tablet to be sometime in September, the Asus Transformer Pad TF303 K would be available for $299 without the keyboard and the TF303 CL at $349. As we mentioned, the keyboards would add $50.
