India crushed England by 133 runs (D/L method) in the 2nd ODI played at Cardiff today.

This was an important day for India as the 1st ODI against England at Bristol was dominated by dark clouds and a heavy drizzle and India could not field an eleven to test.

Final scores:

India 304/6 (50 overs)

England 161 all-out. Check out the final scorecard here.

India’s all-rounder Suresh Raina who won the Man of the Match for his brilliant match winning century (100) said, “The wicket was really good. I thought if I batted until 45th over we could put a target on the board. I’ve seen a lot of the Test matches, I was looking forward to this game. I’ve worked really hard on my batting and fitness.”

Skipper MS Dhoni was overwhelmed with the crowd support that his team got today, he said, “In the next three matches we’ll have more support than the England team which is unusual at time.

“You can’t play one-dimensional cricket, it’s a good format to come back into form. The start is always crucial, the first 10 overs was not about the runs we scored, if we have a good stand after 30 overs we will double the score.”

If a fair luck was possible on India’s part, this time India would have had the chance to work out a bowling combination with their batting order.

But unfortunately, India move to Sophia Gardens, Cardiff without a planned strategy and a solid game under their belt.

Unlike the Indian team, the England team have had an outstanding Test series and looking forward to the ODI series now for sure.

They are encountering hardly any problems regarding the team combinations and form.
Both the teams have a few new notable key performers but it will be a vital point to look for that how both of them will weave a winning game around these players.
