Kannada movie ‘Aryan’ review: Shivarajkumar, Ramya rock

Kannada film “Aryan” starring actors Shivarajkumar and Ramya was released in theatres down south on August 1, 2014.

The film has been censored with a ‘U’ certificate and is expected to do good business in the domestic market.

The first day collections of “Aryan” should be on the higher side, given the fact that Shivarajkumar’s last film “Bhajarangi” was a huge blockbuster.

“Aryan” had its share of ups and downs before hitting the cinemas. Firstly, the movie was scheduled to be released in January 2014, which was later postponed.

Halfway in the filming of the movie, Late D. Rajendra Babu, the director of the movie expired, and Chi Guru Dutt was given the helm of affairs.

The plot of “Aryan” is a unique one, where the titular role is being played by Shivrajkumar, an athletics coach in the movie. He is the responsibility of training the character played by Ramya for a special athletics event. In between, there is a small angle of love between the protagonists.

The music of the movie has been given by gifted composer Jassie Gift.

Other actors playing pivotal roles in the movie include Sarath Babu, Bullet Prakash, Sumithra Devi, Raghu Mukherjee and Archana Gupta.

Ever since the first look of the film was released on June 9, 2014, there are huge expectations around the movie.
The screen count for “Aryan” is not yet known, but given the star status of Shivarajkumar, the movie will have a wide release.
