August 1, 2014, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Windows mobile users can finally heave a sigh of relief. It has been announced that the BBM app Windows version is now available for its full form download.

BBM will be up for grabs by all having access to Windows Phone 8 and higher, we guess.

With a specially tweaked interface designed for the Windows version, BlackBerry Messenger offers messaging, data sharing and voice calling to anyone who has access to the app.

The beta version of the app was made available earlier this month and the company confirmed its full version release through the video posted in its YouTube channel.

Initially designed for BlackBerry devices as an instant messenger service, BBM services have been rolled out to iOS and Android devices last year, marking its entry as a multi-platform messenger service.

The Windows version was confirmed later in February 2014 and the announcement of its availability was made in June.

The traditional features of chats, feeds and group will be present in the app. The company has also stated its intention to add more features in the future.

Currently around 85 million users play with BBM services and with its Windows version, BlackBerry would be eyeing to raise the tally to the one billion mark.  Get it here.
