‘Kick’ Review and Box-office collections report

“Kick” seems to be creating a lot of buzz in the Bollywood market. The film, which has released in 4000 screens across India and 700 screens, overseas.

This action packed thriller stars  Salman Khan,Jacqueline Fernandez,Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is a remake of a Telegu film of the same name and the screenplay is adapted by Sajid Nadiadwala and Chetan Bhagat.

The film marks the directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala. There’s hardly anything to make sense out of the story of the film.

“Kick” is a Hindi movie and a story of an adrenaline junkie, Salman Khan, who like to take different challenges, just to get “kick” out of it.

With such a massive release, the movie is expected to have a record collections on 1st day, expected to cross Rs 40 crores, beating his precious one day record.

The 1st day collections is said to be in the range of Rs 26 crores. The overseas stats are yet to be compiled. 

Jacqueline plays a psychiatrist who meets her perspective groom Himanshu (played by Randeep Hooda) on a train journey. The story goers back to flashback revealing the relationship shared between Shaina (Jacqueline Fernandes) and her ex-boyfriend Salman Khan. Salman Khan Jacqueline Fernandez (2) The film is filled with instances of romance, lots of action packed sequences and comic moments.”Kick” is a film, which can entertain you in bits and parts.

Salman Khan’s role in the film was essayed by Telugu superstar, Ravi Teja.  The film is a typical Ravi Teja entertainer film. Yet, the character of ‘Devil’ in “Kick” is sketched in a new way.

1st day – Rs 26.50 cr
2nd day – Rs 27.15 cr
3rd day – Rs 30.18 cr
4th day – Rs 14.41 cr

Total – Rs 98.14 India box-office

Overseas Rs 20 cr

The character has shades of grey elements and he is on a mission where he is willing to forsake his life. However, we have seen Salman Khan do action packed films like this before.

There’s hardly anything new about his performance in “Kick”. Watch it to enjoy a typical Bollywood masala film. There’s hardly anything more to it.
