Watch Glasgow CWG 2014 live streaming on YouTube

With the Glasgow Common Wealth Games 2014 all set for a gala start, an official YouTube channel will stream all the events live from the venue to fans across the globe. A first in CWG history, this dedicated Glasgow 2014 Games channel will providing non-stop coverage of events.

An insidethegames report on July 15 says that the streaming will focus more “on the best live sport available with regular short highlights from around the 13 venues”.

It has been planned that the YouTube channel will cover every significant event right from the start to the end of the last live competition, and then will be followed up with a 2-hour long highlights telecast.

The streaming has been charted out in such a way that each event and competition will be explained in detail so that it proves beneficial to even those who aren’t much familiar with the games and the formats.

The streaming will be available in nations where Glasgow 2014 retains internet rights. As of now, the coverage will be available across Europe, the United States, South America and parts of Asia.

“A single Commonwealth Games YouTube channel, streaming live, will extend the reach of the Games like never before and give sports fans the world over an opportunity to enjoy the thrill of the action that will be on offer across 11 days of world-class sporting competition,” said Glasgow 2014 chief executive, David Grevemberg.
