The movie was written and directed by Velraj, who is making his directorial debut. Dhanush has not only played the lead role but also produced the movie under Wunderbar films.

Actors Vivek, Samuthirakani, Surabhi, Sathish and Saranya Ponvannan play supporting roles. The movie also marks for celebration, being Dhanush’s 25th film in Tamil.

Director Samuthirakani is also playing the role of Dhanush’s dad in the movie. Dhanush said that he shared an amazing chemistry with him.

This is not the first time that Velraj and Dhanush have teamed up as the duo have worked together as cinematographer and lead actor earlier in several projects like award-winning “Aadukalam” (2011) and “3” (2012).

It is during those movies production that Dhanush requested Velraj to debut as a director. He promised to play the lead role, if he narrated a good script.

Music of the movie is by Anirudh Ravichander, who once again got Dhanush behind the mic along with veteran singer S. Janaki. Both have sung a song “Amma Amma” and all the songs lyrics have been given by Dhanush.

The movie satellite rights were sold to Sun TV and the film got “U” certificate by the Censor Board.

The movie opened to packed houses in multiplexes in Chennai. The 1st days box-office collections are awaited. We will update the stats here as soon as we get.

On writing lyrics for the movie, Dhanush said that he did what he wanted to which is writing lyrics and singing along with acting and it worked well for him.
