For South Africa, the goal is to win the series and the match they had lost against Austrailia recently, after two years of undisputed champions of the Test cricket.

For the team of Sri Lanka, the match calls for an emotional experience as they would be bidding farewell to Mahela Jayawardene as his test career winds down.

The 2006 series is unforgettable for the fans of cricket around the globe. It is known for the world record 624 run stand that Kumar Sangakkara had made and the ultimate victory of the team.
