Making a strong stand for a global initiative, thousands of bikers took part in the annual World Naked Bike Ride, held on June 14, 2014, in Central London.

Known as The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR), this is a special event that happens in more than 50 cities worldwide, aimed at protesting against car culture and also raises awareness around cycling as the better and much more environmentally friendly alternative.

The weekend in Central London saw cyclists taking their chance at the event with wearing nothing at the bottom.

June 14, 2014 also saw cities like Chicago and Guadalajara taking part in the ride. No wonder, many of the images of the event went viral on social sites. While frontal nudity was something everyone debated on, other sites like Mashable tried to play sober.

If you happened to check some of the images on Twitter and Instagram, don’t forget to share! After all, it’s the perfect way to bike around naked with no starring eyes and with a strong positive initiative, the event has purpose too!
