Nissan Future Super Car Might Hit Gran Turismo 6 Game Track First

June 18, 2014, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

When an auto major drops hints of a concept in the making, it obviously generates much interest. Over the past few weeks, we have been fed with hints of such a concept and the news rolls out from the Nissan stables.

Nissan has been releasing teasers about its new concept car 2020 Vision Gran Turismo over the past few weeks. More are expected in July.

However, the fact is that this car might end up hitting the virtual race tracks of the Gran Turismo 6 video game. Polyphany digital has been encouraging all the automakers with cars to come up with a Vision Gran Turismo concept which can be added to the virtual garages of the players.

Similar cars from Mercedes Benz, BMW, and Mitsubishi have been seen before. Now is the time for Nissan to show theirs.

The Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo is not just considered as a car from a video game. From what Nissan has said we can take it as a traditional supercar model. And of course, we can expect a supercar from Nissan to look like this in the future. And when you say ‘Nissan supercar’, you actually mean GT-R. We all know that.

The design elements are similar to the ones in GT-R, which includes slash headlights and roofline. It is also similar to the current GT-R, with two doors. The type of the engine used has not been specified.

Nissan shares a history with the Gran Turismo racing franchise. The screens for the performance computer in the actual GT-R were designed by Polyphany digital.

The performance credibility of Nissan is expected to be bolstered with its luxury brand Infiniti. The Q50S hybrid can be considered as an example of what the company can offer to put on road.

More info on the performance of the Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo will be known once it gets released in the Gran Turismo 6 game in July.
