How to Playback Pictures in Your Camera on a TV Using a Remote

Ever wondered how to play the pictures you shot with your SLR? Okay we will tell you how. Before that, make sure your SLR has HDMI output option. If you do, you will be able to play the pictures on your television set and also remote control it from the comfort of your couch.

We don’t have to tell you how to use a HDMI cable to connect a camera to a TV, right? But you should know how to sue use your camera’s controls to flick through the content in it.

Also, if your camera and TV are Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) compatible, a TV remote would come to your aid when you need to control the camera’s playback functionality.

Proceeding further,  you need to switch on the HDMI control – the camera menu would help you do that. Once you enable that, make sure that the video system is set to the correct option for your region.

Now you can disable your camera’s auto power off mode so as to ensure that it  doesn’t switch off when inactive. Go forward by connecting the cable, via your camera’s micro- or mini-HDMI port. Switch off the camera and connect the appropriate ends of the cable to the ports on the TV and camera.

After the cable is connected properly, you can turn on the camera and select the HDMI input source on the TV that the camera is plugged into. Hit playback on your camera, and you will see an image from the memory card displayed on the TV.  Pick up your remote and watch what you stored in camera by operating it. Easy, isn’t it?
